fake yahoo's ~ no real yahoo would ever admit it... there are too ashamed!!! there are twits wandering the rooms,  threatening, booting, or otherwise  confusing the issues? like this chatter highlighted below...

they can do what we will call an admin entry. its a special way to enter text in the room, works in messenger, java, cheeta, and ychat. not in yahelite though.

it kind of looks like this..... ( but not exactly....trust me. if you see it.. you will know its real. )

admin entry is gone.... no more RED Y's in the list.... maybe ;-) 

and no.... not claiming to be a yahoo ~ just an example ...

because in yahoo chat ~ unless it is a special event in the yahoo auditorium  ~ there are no admins, no moderators, no hosts, no guides ~ its self serve!  and as the few yahoos i know have said ( yes there are some, but they don't advertise it) no self respecting big Y employee is about to tell the random chatter who they are.

so chat smart and know what to look for.

so what exactly can a real yahoo do to prove they are?  

they can send you an email from their yahoo email address. and no it will not be a yahoo.com address.   will be different.  or send your their email addy and YOU send them email... and verify headers in response...

if they can not  send that email....or make the  admin  text entry.....  then save the transcript ~ then click ignore........ ( or click the abuse button on chat 2.0 , then send the info to  chat/cgi_abuse  and complete the form....... or same details and info to chat-abuse

there is not a damn thing that a yahoo needs your password for!!
