Velvet monkey uniforms is a nonsense phrase I came up with randomly when answering a forum post on August 26. 2003 @ 4 am my time.

At that time the results were..... not that specific.

I made the boast I was off to go make my site and this page the number one keyword result for the phrase " velvet monkey uniforms " to show that keyword search results had the life span of a housefly and the show that page rank and links were more important in the long run for site health and longevity.

PR and the links into my site give it more frequent search engine spidering ~ and allow me to edit a page with velvet monkey uniforms, and have the results reflected on search engines in 24-72 hours, instead of  28 days or more that a lower PR and lesser linked site would have.

So..... I will watch Google to see when this site is added, and will add the screen caps.... will check every 24 hours or so. I predict I will have no problems getting almost immediate listing *By Wednesday afternoon or so* because of my  sites PR, which is largely influences by LINKS.

No matter who chooses to use the same keywords, I believe that unless they have a good PR, they will be unable to maintain a higher search result when competing with sites that are freshbotted due to a higher PR and more links in.

Why? because to be top in a keyword search today for velvet monkey uniforms, does not mean you will be tomorrow... being number one today on a keyword search for velvet monkey uniforms, does not enhance your sites longevity as links do.... it merely allows you to be found today....when links in allow you to be found today, tomorrow and beyond.

I will post screen cap as to where it does end up ranking....

Ps. I hope that no one really is looking for velvet monkey uniforms. Poor lil things already have a fur coat.

Update 8.28.03 ~ Google updating all day... finally.... Google spider for 8.27 posted.. number one and TWO for velvet monkey uniforms..... note the dates involved as well, and noted on screen caps. This supports a secondary point ~ that if your site has a good link base, rank, and is spidered, that it can be more important than any keywords. This illustrates that some sites can change info and have it reflected on search engines FAST! Many other sites have up to 6 weeks to wait before results are shown on Google and other search engines. So whats more important? keywords? or the rank, links , and spidering to reflect site changes? you decide. hopefully this will help you.
