who is nhyrvana?	Nhyrvana is actually my dog. A 12 year old cairn terrier who has no interest in anything electronic. I just started using her name because it was a simple and unique chat id.
funny, very funny. okay, who are you?	I am a wanna be geekette =o) i am human, moody, temperamental, busy, tired, humorous, occasionally rude, often indulgent ~ but always on the look out for new tips and helps. i have low or no tolerance for people who ask for help then argue ~ don't like the answer? search the web then and stop asking me =oP
where are you?	in front of my computer =oP seriously...I am in Arizona ~ USA, but im a relocated Okie.....
Is that your diary site?	Nopers, no blog here..... too much time spent making help pages and sites. And i can never think of anything to write.
Is that your art work site?	Nope, but the name does seem to be a favorite with us talented people grins
what's with the lower case?	this is my personal site....an archive of tips and tricks that i found helpful, useful and began saving for friends. on more than one occasion someone said. uhh i don't see that... so i would do a screen cap and load.... it just kinda snowballed.... the lowercase is me.. shiftless wonder...it's my style... my trademark ... i think the ones who whine about it are those who have to CORRECT the lowercase when they copy for their own site...
what do you do for fun? cause surely you don't live online....	dvd addicted here, netflix.com is my fave place. if i really like them, then i buy them, but not online, its really cheaper at wally world ! read compulsively; as of > recent books read? Death and Justice by Mark Furman. A book of Reasons by John Vernon, The Soul's COde by John Hillman, and Flying to Tombstone by Gordon McBride. Fave book is Confederacy of Dunces tho... John Kennedy O'Toole. music... cause ya ask that too.... Ephraim Lewis ~ SKIN and Outkast are the D.I.D. of choice here... but i surf indy/ alt music stations on the net, and on digital music. Molly's Yes ~ Sugar is also highly recommended. check my dosomething to see what i am currently playing.... make a few websites and trying to improve my digital photography skills :)
how is this all paid for? cause domains and hosting aren't cheap?	it is all out of my own pocket folks. There is currently about 2GB involved in all the nhyrvana pages, of course not all in use, yet. But, i offer space to a few who need it, friends, and have hundreds of free and linkable graphics. * actual site is over 4000 files and about 90 MB including all files. * there are 25 MB in AVI help files alone.. No Google Ad words, no affiliate programs, no "commissions", no big financier behind it all, except ME! Any "banners seen on my site are for friends and hostees only. NO PPC here. My actual cost per year is pretty low tho, because i do it all my self, names, hosting and upkeep of my domain is ABOUT $150.00 USD a year.... that's several domain names ( nhyrvana.com, nhyrvana.org, nhyrvana.net, nhyrvana.us, etc...) and all my space. i love my HOST!
what does nhyrvana mean?	Other than my dog's name, not much. But I hope the things found here will inspire some peace ( nirvana ) for new comp and chat users.
how do you pronounce your name?	nhyrvana is pronounced just like nirvana ~ (nerv-anna) not nevada, not nyhrvana, not nyrvana * that's an award winning German Shepard breeder, not nintendo, not dakota, not nunya, notnurona, * trust me been got called it all..... NIRVANA.... like the band. Nhyr will work too.....
why do you do this? how can you do all this?	A degenerative lung disorder has given me entirely too much free time. (COPD) That means i spend a lot of time inside and online. I try to use it productively and what goes around comes around... call it web-karma.
is this all free?	Yep, There may be some web page services, but the main help is available to all. above all this is my personal archive of helps..... feel the need to help nhyrvana? then you can donate a dollar .
why don't you have ( insert item here ) ? why don't you link ( insert link here ) ?	this is a PERSONAL site ! When ya pay me... or i get paid for making it... then you can demand this and that... would you tell people what to put on their homepages? HELL NO! don't forget this IS my homepage. my personal site. i realize expectation is HIGH here, but i put material i learned and link people i have found helpful and informative. there are dozens of people who email me DAILY DEMANDING a link on my site... * we list the same info, .... you already list anotherdomain.com ... i linked you months ago....... you got that from me so credit me with a link back now!.... " i get all kinds of mail with all kinds of attempts to persuade or extort a link. like i said, this is a PERSONAL site!! if you don't find what you need here.. SEARCH the WEB!!
i saw the same fix on (insert other site here ) did they copy you?	When an ideas time has come, simultaneous "discovery" is common, especially when there are many people with help pages who also chat. When a problem arises, EVERYONE sees the problem and may try to fix. There usually are several who will find fixes at the same time independently. Many recall the original messenger noads in early 2002 from CL ~ many different fixes have come about because of the annoyance factor on messY ~ as long as the problem is solved, i do not care how the problem is resolved. web.archive.org is a great place to search sometimes.
how do you make money of this ?	Off this? (laffs....) I don't. i do page building and work on sites for people. sometimes for money....sometimes for fun.. that keeps me in computer toys.

can i add you as a buddy/friend	please don't, i use so many different ids and really could never possibly help everyone who messaged. I did try for a while to allow adding as a friend~ and found myself always flooded. there are others who can and will help =0) try YCH and you just may get help from me in disguise
why don't you have a lot of utilities to do it for me?	my personal belief is it never hurts to know your way around the computer ~ being able to find files and where things are never hurts. if there are good SMALL toys i think worthwhile i will link or archive, but i am dismayed at people who can not find their my computer icon or c drive... better to learn your way around ~ its safer too! utilities are fine too.. just learn how to fix by hand too!

Sure, just go over to the forum, and ask there. why the forum? because this has been a WILD year, and if i cant answer you, you at least get helped out by another forum member .....
what kind of computer schooling did you have?
Other than a computer basics class, many, many years ago: NONE. but daily use at work, and entirely too much time in chat has provided a richer education about many computer related items than any schooling could. the really cool thing is that several university web design programs are pointing their students to some tuts i have done! w00t!
what kinda computer do you have?
I broke the bank after too many years on that old lappy ~ and invested in a Sony Vaio. I got a real deal on it.

nope, you didn't get an email from me.... lots of email spoofers out there. i don't send out email from my domain email.
some are generated by viruses or email spam programs, the sender is spoofed to hide the sender.
and yes, that means that email from Microsoft or from Yahoo is probably fake too.

how did this all begin?
My brother actually had a chat help page many years ago~ and when he stopped keeping it up, a friend of mine started another chat help site.... (which i helped with) And about the time he stopped keeping up his site ~ i had made a chat client comparison page ... and it seemed a natural progression... and here we are 3 1/2 years later.....
what is your biggest complaint?
SPAM! email spam is the WORST! but my real pet peeve ~ those who are afraid to say they do not know, and mess up others computers. it takes more courage to say, I DO NOT KNOW, and look for an answer than to offer the wrong solutions.

where do you get ideas for pages?
originally ideas came from things i learned. they still do, just not as many... most of the ideas come from things i see all the time in chat or from emails or posts on my forum. or requests i get.. or sometimes i see info in site stats, and think. hey! if they are looking for free favicons, i can add some! Sometimes i just read a ton of stuff.. dailyrotation has millions of tech headlines... but there is no method to the madness.. as an item comes up i add.... no plan.. should make one huh...
